Bipolar Girl Rules the World
Bipolar Girl Rules the World traverses — over rocky terrain — the lived experience of mental illness, combining a variety of animation styles and the intimacy of first personal narratives to create a film rich with visual artistry and resonant voices.
The characters’ words emerge from a spectrum of gender, age, culture, income, education, professions, and diagnoses. The film’s transmedia community engagement campaign strategically targets the cultural stigma and personal shame surrounding mental illness. Join D. and her group of fellow travelers as they report back from this disorderly landscape with powerfully-told stories of vulnerability, suffering, humor, determination, creativity, and grace.

FEAR Makes Filmmaker Magazine's 2016 "Best of Animation List"
We're so excited to share this news! As FEAR rounds out a year that began with its World Premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival as part of "Whoopi's Shorts" (a program of animated short films curated by Whoopi Goldberg), we're incredibly grateful for the warm reception Fear has received from both the filmmaking and stigma-fighting communities (lots of overlap there, too).
